ACME Solar has signed a 300 MW power supply agreement with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), according to a report from HDFC Sky. The company's shares fell 0.72% on the day the deal was reported.

The agreement covers power supply tied to SECI, the state-run agency that runs most of India's utility-scale solar tenders. HDFC Sky published the report on 19 October 2026.

ACME Solar is one of the country's larger independent renewable developers, with a portfolio built largely on solar projects sold to central and state agencies through long-term PPAs. A 300 MW addition to that book is a meaningful chunk of capacity, though the filing as reported gives no details on tariff, project location, or commissioning timeline.

What the market saw

The 0.72% dip is small. It's the kind of move that shows up on a quiet trading day and says little about how investors read the deal itself. Without the tariff or the expected date of power flow, there's not much for analysts to model.

Power supply agreements with SECI typically run 25 years. They give a developer a fixed buyer and a predictable revenue stream, which matters when debt is raised against a project. The terms of this one haven't been disclosed.

SECI has been the main route for India's solar capacity additions for over a decade. Developers bid for capacity, sign PPAs, and then build. The agency's tender pipeline has slowed and sped up depending on module prices, transmission readiness, and state discom appetite.

What's still missing

  • Tariff agreed under the 300 MW PPA
  • Location and expected commissioning date of the project
  • Whether the capacity is new build or part of an existing pipeline
  • Any update to ACME Solar's total contracted portfolio

None of that was in the HDFC Sky report. The company hasn't issued a detailed statement on the terms, at least not one carried in the source material.

For a developer of ACME's size, a 300 MW PPA is a routine but useful win. The stock reaction was muted. Investors will likely wait for the tariff and timeline before reading more into it.

ACME Solar's shares ended the session down 0.72%.
