Saatvik Green has unveiled a 670 Wp solar module built on TOPCon 3.0 cell technology at the Renewable Energy India (REI) Expo. The company announced the product at the trade show, according to a report by Power Peak Digest published on 22 October 2026.

The module carries a 670 watt-peak rating, placing it among the higher-output panels on display at this year's expo. TOPCon, or tunnel oxide passivated contact, has become one of the mainstream cell architectures for Indian manufacturers chasing efficiency gains without a jump to pricier heterojunction lines.

Why the wattage number matters

Higher wattage per panel cuts the number of modules, mounting structures and cables needed for a given project size. For utility-scale developers squeezing margins, that arithmetic adds up fast. Rooftop installers get the same benefit in a tighter footprint.

Saatvik's move follows a broader push by domestic manufacturers to scale up module ratings. The 600 Wp-plus bracket has shifted from a novelty to a crowded field over the past two years, with several Indian firms announcing TOPCon lines.

The company did not disclose pricing, cell sourcing, or manufacturing capacity for the new module in the announcement. It also did not give a commercial launch date or name the facility where the module will be produced.

Trade show as a launchpad

REI Expo has become the default stage for Indian solar firms to show off new products. The annual event draws developers, EPC contractors and component suppliers under one roof, which makes it a practical place to put a new module in front of buyers.

Saatvik Green has been building its presence in the domestic module market. The 670 Wp TOPCon 3.0 launch signals it wants a place in the high-output segment rather than competing only on price at the lower end.

What the announcement leaves open is the part that matters to procurement teams: bankability data, warranty terms and field performance. A wattage figure on a spec sheet is a starting point. Developers will want to see the module tested and certified before it lands in a tender.

The TOPCon 3.0 label suggests an iteration on earlier cell generations, though the company has not detailed what changed between versions. That detail will likely surface as the product moves toward commercial orders.

For now, the 670 Wp module is on the expo floor. Whether it translates into order books is the question the next few quarters will answer.
