2. Damage reported by States/UTs during last the 24 hrs: –

Massive Landslide incident in District- Wayanad, Kerala: –

On 30.07.2024 at about 0217 hrs, due to incessant and heavy to extremely heavy rainfall, a major landslide incident occurred at Mundakki, Chooralmala, Vellarimala Village, Meppadi Panchayat, Vythiri taluk in District Wayanad. More than 400 houses/ shops were reported buried under the debris during the landslide. A total of 231 persons have been pronounced dead so far.

Cloud burst / flash flood incidents in Himachal Pradesh: –

On 01.08.2024, due to incessant and very heavy rainfall, a total 03 massive cloud burst incidents and 01 flash flood incident occurred in different districts of Himachal Pradesh. As per initial report received from SEOC on 01.08.2024, in these incidents, a total 04 persons were reported dead, 55 persons missing and 09 persons stranded, 19 houses damaged, 03 bridges and 01 bus washed away.

Today NIL reports received from 10 States/UTs: – Arunachal Pradesh, Gujarat, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Punjab, Tripura, Andaman & Nicobar, Dadra Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu and Puducherry.

Today reports not received from 15 States/UTs: – Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Haryana, Jharkhand, Manipur, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Telangana, West Bengal, Chandigarh, Delhi, Lakshadweep and Ladakh.
