India's wind sector is having a strong run as repowering of old sites and fresh hybrid solar-plus-wind tenders bring new capacity online. Developers are increasingly pairing wind and solar at the same grid connection point, smoothing output across the day and squeezing more value from each transmission link.
The shift matters because wind tends to peak in the evening and monsoon months, exactly when solar fades, making the two technologies natural partners on the path to round-the-clock clean power.
